Allowed

  • Named CEO, managing director, founder or controlling shareholder
  • A real operating company, division, stake or serious asset
  • Ticket or company scale within £250k–£15m
  • Prepared to use dual opt-in and NDA before names
  • A specific sector, geography and transaction posture

Refused

  • Brokers distributing a book without a named principal
  • First-time buyers with no operating experience or funding path
  • Businesses already broadly advertised for sale
  • ‘Any profitable business’ search criteria
  • Casual, speculative or sub-scale enquiries
